Terms of use

Hi, it's Gertie again. These are the rules for using RhinestoneScout.com. Short version: use Scout however you like, just don't break it or blame me if a shop's price has changed since my last check.

What Scout is

Scout is a suite of tools for rhinestone artists. A digital ruler, fill pattern calculators, a tumbler calculator, and a price comparison tool that scans 10+ rhinestone suppliers and shows you the best deal per stone. The tools are available to paying subscribers.

What Scout is not

Affiliate disclosure

Scout earns money in two ways: reader subscriptions and affiliate commissions. When you click an outbound link to a supplier or featured artist, that link may be an affiliate link. If you buy after clicking, Scout may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. This is disclosed in compliance with the FTC Endorsement Guides and applicable laws.

How affiliate links affect what you see: they don't. Scout sorts by real price data only. The cheapest stone always shows first, regardless of whether the supplier has an affiliate program. Scout will not promote a more expensive option just because it pays a commission.

Suppliers and rhinestone artists: if you have an affiliate program and want to be added to the rotation, email info@rhinestonescout.com. Listings are based on what hobbyists actually buy and what represents real value, not on commission rates.

Free trial and billing

Every plan starts with a 7 day free trial. You don't need a credit card to start. If you decide to continue past the trial, you add a payment method and choose monthly or yearly billing. You can cancel anytime from your account, and your cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds for unused time, but you keep access through the end of what you already paid for.

Prices and accuracy

I do my best to keep Scout's price comparison accurate. I check most shops once a week and pull prices directly from their websites. Sometimes a shop changes their site, or a variant gets renamed, or a currency shifts. When that happens, Scout might show something slightly off until I catch it.

Always confirm the final price on the shop's own checkout page. That is the price you are actually paying.

Your responsibility when you use Scout

Supplier trademarks

Shop names, logos, and product names belong to the shops that own them. Scout mentions them so you can compare. That's nominative fair use, nothing more.

No warranty

Scout is provided as is. I try to make it useful, but I can't promise perfect accuracy, uptime, or that any particular price will be available when you click through. Use your own judgment.

No liability for supplier purchases

When you buy from a shop Scout links to, that transaction is between you and the shop. If something goes wrong with your order, contact the shop directly. Scout is not involved in the sale and cannot resolve shipping, quality, or refund issues.

Changes

I might update these terms over time. The date at the top will always reflect the latest version. If I make a material change, I'll email active subscribers and note it on the homepage for a while.
